Default yella terra L92 rockers

I ordered a set of rockers from a board sponsor and they were advertised as L92 adjustables when they arrived they were part number YT-6654 non adjustable 1.8 ratio ? So I contacted byunspeed and they list the non adjustable 1.8 rockers as part number YT-6667 wich is really a 1.7 so thats wrong too ? WTF !! I was wondering if Yella terra part number YT-6653 exist ? WERE CAN I BUY YT-6653 ROCKERS ??

I am not familiar with their part numbers, but I do know that they currently do NOT have adjustable rockers for the L92. They have COME UP with an adjustable shaft setup that they are debuting at the PRI show, and are SUPPOSED to be available at the end of Dec/First of Jan to the public for @ $500-$600. I talked with them specifically about this as I am running a solid roller on my 414" L92 and need adjustable rockers. So.....

I have a set of YT's part #6668. They're non adjustable 1.8 ratio rocker arms for the LS3. I haven't installed them yet. One arm on each pair is offset. I'm assuming they're correct for my application (LS3).

Right, they should have the NON-adjustable for the L92, but not the adjustable. Yet, anyway.

Well, I talked to a tech at Yella Terra, and he said specifically they did not have adjustable rockers for teh L92's, again, yet. They came up with teh shaft setup available end of Dec/first of Jan, as I mentioned above, and that was it for the L92.

Now maybe the tech I spoke with had no idea what he was talking about, but I doubt that. How could he not know if they had them? I mean he gave me specifics on thier shaft setup, details on how they have a huge request for adjustabe rockers for the L92, and that is why they came up with thier setup they are debuting at the PRI show.

Cool well I just dynoed my 440lsx with non adjustables shimmed and setup for my solid roller and they worked fine I have done this several times as long as the geometry is correct and the wipe is ok and the lash is correct it works but I am running 225 seat pressure and 600 open so its only a matter of time till one breaks. By the way it made 707FWHP N/A at 7500rpm will make more when I am safe to spin it higher.

YT's Ultralite rockers are still heavier than the stock L92 rocker correct? It would seem like issues with valve float and wearing out springs faster would not really be worth the decrease in flex they provide over some modded harland sharp stock rockers since most never have issues with stockers anyways.

yes but when you run .730 lift as I do you need an after market rocker as the stock rockers have a built in stop on the fulcrum around .650 also the fulcrum needle bearings on stock rockers do not handle the high spring pressure very well and tend to get flat spots and over heat then breaking apart going thru your engine, Not cool

The rebuilt harland stock rockers are a complete rebuild with hardened bearings and no "stop" they can free spin completely around. Stockers yes, rebuilt stockers no problem. Only limitation is in the provided bolts as they limit your lift due to clearance, use stock bolts and gain a little more lift, but its cutting it close even at near .700 lift as on my hydraulic setup...

Cheers

must be not I just talked to Mark at yella terra and he said they did offer that part number but recalled it as the 8mm bolts were not strong enough that is hy they are developing the new shaft adjustable system that will be out later than expected mid April.....

What's up with the weak bolts? I have a set of Yella Terta 1.8's on an LS3 that's started making a lot of valve train noise. I haven't opened it up yet. Do the bolts stretch or just break? I don't think I have a broken bolt, but a stretched bolt could be the root to my problems. Do you have a contact # for the YT folks? I think I need to give them a jingle.
