It is running LIKE CRAZY. Just puddling through the gears I found myself at 120+ mph without even realizing haha. It idles VERY nice, and drives VERY nice compared to my old 427 cam. Definitely more power. I will post up a series of pictures when I get the chance, and start up vid... I will be hitting the dyno in probably the next month or so.

Fresh off the Pallet!

On the engine stand being unwrapped, its like Christmas all over again haha.

Tapping the block for knock sensor relocation - M10x1.5 for stock LS1 sensors.

I also plugged up the extra headbolt holes to prevent them from getting corroded or damaged. M8x1.25 if I remember correctly, they were extra bolts from the oil pan.

Knock sensor relocated.

More headbolts plugged

Morel Link-Bar hydraulic lifters and 3/8 restricted custom length pushrods. They are HUGE!

Stock LS7 intake/exhaust ports

We were also making a hockey net and making a awesome HOMEBREW

Tapped the LS2 valley cover for an Autometer 0-100 PSI sensor. It's a 1/8 NPT and fit just right with plenty of space for the stock pressure sensor and the aftermarket one. Anyone else notice a pretty big difference between the stock pressure guage and an aftermarket? For instance at idle my autometer gauge will ready 30 psi, while my stock gauge reads about 42-43 psi. Is the stock gauge really that far off?

On the UMI K-Member and accessories bolted up.

Transmission bolted up: Refreshed Textralia Clutch (z-grip), Tick Performance Master Cylinder and remote bleeder line, and new slave cylinder.

Sick build! Very nice parts, shouldn't have any problem hitting the 550 mark!

I have no clue haha. I don't have a strip setup, but I would hope at least mid 11's on street tires and granny shifting. But we'll see, i'm more than full weight, so its kinda a pig.

One can only hope! I'm not sure about 550 rwhp, but hoping for 520. Its got a pretty heavy rotating assembly, so that'll suck some out, plus my ford 9" - 3.70 gears and heavy *** TTM Chromes with 315's on the rear. We'll see!

I also forgot to give an update about running a doubler roller timing chain with this block....you can't do it with a JP Performance LS2 Double Roller! The way the front cam plate is oriented, the top bolt interferes with the timing chain. He even tried using a button head bolt, grinding on it etc... and it still wouldn't fit. So I have a Ls2 single roller in there. Same one he uses on his 2000+ hp turbo builds, so I'm not worried about it hahaha.

My car made 550/536 with TEA ported 317 heads, 254/256 595/595 112+2, with 11.68 compression, through a 9in with fikse 17's and 315's!

One way you could is to countersink the retainer plate with a 45* bit on an end mill. Then use the appropriate bolt with the same 45* head on it to seat in the hole. The bolt will usually end up flush with the plate and voila! I'm sure the single roller will be fine though.

Nice build though, have fun.

Ah, good point. If I remember correctly though, the plate is not that thick, so i'm not sure if that can be done. But if you have done it yourself, then obviously, yes!

You've also got about 19 more degrees of duration too haha. I'm just setting my expectations lower so I don't get disappointed

Thanks! Its been a lot of fun, actually gets decent gas mileage too when I'm not leaning on the throttle....which isn't often

I did use stock LS7 rockers. They are very stout and can handle most hydraulic cams. Mine are rebuilt Harland Sharp stockers though, as I would recommend the modification to anybody running stock GM rocker arms.

I will have the first startup vid soon, and some more pics posted later tonight.

Alright, got the rest of the pictures added, here is the link instead of actually posting them all here on the webpage

http://picasaweb.google.com/500hpTA/...eat=directlink

Also, here is the first start up video. Please disregard the Fuel/Oil pressure readings, I had the harnesses backwards, so it was 40psi oil at idle, and 60psi fuel pressure.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xn74bgcovnQ

It hasn't processed yet, but its here for when its ready to be viewed.
