My 454 LSX NA Build
lol money is no problem with my build either but the look of the fast 102 sitting between those orange valve covers just looks awesome i dont know if i could trade that look for a little more HP....lol

i'd also wonder since both those heads are drag racing heads how they would go in the low rpm range, i also know of a LSX454 that ran the dr heads it made 930 engine HP with about 1in lift.....

I guess there was some mis information somewhere. I am a 22yr old broke college kid. lol
I got my injectors today, so i put them in real quick, and realized I have to re-wire my injector harness.... I just keep finding more and more stuff I forgot...

That's the only reason I didn't get one...i spoke with John via email a few times....we had a pretty sweet intake planned out, then he told me it might be 4-6 months. I didn't think I could wait that long so I passed. If/when I get the chance, I'm wanting to do a head swap and get a Marcella intake too.

. Good things come to those who wait....good things come to those who wait....good things come to those who wait....
Got myself a set of tires (255/295 KDW2s), a set of shocks (bilstein), and a catback(Borla Adj)... I think that is that last "big money" Ill spend to get it on the road, only a couple things left now.
Well, ive been plugging away, whenever I have time... Slowly finishing the projects.
I dont have much to finish in the engine bay. (Oil Filter lines, brake lines, couple more sensors to replace, and I gotta find a coupler to finish my intake)
Inside, I have to finish wiring my gauges, wire in my relocated battery, and I just spent a few paychecks worth on a new system, so i gotta install that sometime.
The PCM is at Vector getting a startup tune.
Getting excited.
I realize I havent posted pictures in a while, so ill upload a few when I get home today, and give ya'll an idea of how close I am.

Cant wait to drive her. BTW I laughed when I saw your sig say pink 10 bolt. Since 10 bolts are gay I just thought it was a joke. And then I saw that you ACTUALLY painted your 10 bolt pink and put it in your car. I busted out laughing!!!!! Thats awesome.
im glad you like it also. I thought it'd be funny... so i did it

I'm almost positive the stock dipstick will work. All the LS blocks are interchangeable into different ls based vehicles as you already know.
So I would assume the stock Trans Am Dipstick will work. Have you tried test fitting your stock one to see, or do you not have yours anymore?

I bought one from the stealership, and will pick it up today.
Im also picking up my wheels from the Powdercoater today, and getting my tires mounted.
Hey Punsher, are you using a stock oil pan or a stroker oil pan? The stroke on my crank is a little more than yours at .125 but should be the same difference. When I built my SBC 383 stroker, I needed to get a Moroso stroker pan so I wasn't sure about the LSX stuff since I'm still learning. Thanks and looking forward to more from ya!

I ended up going with a 4.185 bore, 4.125 stroke.
I am using the moroso pan, which works.
I think I read in 2000_SS's thread that the stock pan would work with spacers, and or massaging of the baffle.
Im gonna guess you read somewhere on the first page when I was talking about using a 4.2 bore, 4.1 stroke.

I do some searching for 2000_SS and see if I can find what he did. Thanks for the reply!
