Katech - Forgive all my questions but its really sparked my intrest. Isnt this car available as a kit car and not a turn-key? Maybe im wrong and ive got 2 mixed up but isnt this the one that you buy the kit and then you need a c5 to get a bunch of parts off of to finish it?

Hi Guys, I am the car owner and thought I would try to answer a few of the questions. When people see the car they say what is that - I always say "it's a Mosler, Google it....". First, it is not a kit car. It is a hand built exotic supercar, built on an assembly line in a small factory and the cars are EPA and DOT and crash tested. Those are the main differences between a manufactured car and a kit car. The builder is a ISO certified auto manufacturer.
This one is what some call the "Mark I" meaning it came with a LS6 rated at 435 HP and the cost of the Mark I model was right around 210K. The newer ones come with the LS7 and are called the Mark II. They are indeed over 300K. Mosler told me the Mark I cars they sold at about a 60K loss apiece, just to get a few of them out there. As you can see, Jason/Katech have built a monster motor for this car, so maybe we should call it a Mark IV....
These cars are raced extensively in Europe where the classes better suit them, and they pretty much clean up in GT3 over there.
With the light weight, and the power it will be a beast, and I can't wait!
Edit - to answer one more of the questions - perhaps the kit car you were thinking of is the Ultima GTR - which is a totally badass car (meaning very light and depending on the engine, lots of HP).
(Or the Factory Five GTM is another very cool fast car as well)

The owner is of average height, maybe in the 5'10" range to estimate and that is about the upper limit for comfort in this car. He is also fairly thin like me.
This particular Mosler has race seats which made the headroom worse. I never sat in the original seats, but I'm guessing they provide more room, although not much.

Wow, that thing will be a ride few on earth will get near experiencing. Its gorgeous.
That interior is way nicer/improved than the pre-production car I saw 1st hand. Carbon fiber looks much cleaner and straight, and no huge green blobs of adhesive. The one I saw had a bare fiber center tunnel too, the suede is a nice touch. I wish I could swing for something like this, maybe a beat *** used Ariel Atom one day.

Hoses are not final yet. We still have to do a lot of securing/tying/heat wrapping, but I wanted to show our layout so far.

Pfadt engine mounts gave us some badly needed additional space for scavenge line routing.

Valve covers and coil brackets are temporary. Carbon fiber valve covers are going on later.
