Default Looking for a shop that can get me a 427 LSX....

...assymbled short block quick. I don't want to wait 5 weeks for an assymbled product. That wa the time frame I got from a great shop I normally use. I just don't have time right now to build another and insurance is paying for it. Does anyone know who can get right on it?
I am building a boost setup.

Start getting on the phone and call up some vendors. That will be your fastest route. I know Texas Speed normally keeps stock on some short blocks I would call them 1st then start down the list. Scoggin dickey, Vengeance racing, LME, speed Inc.,& so on.

I do have alot of LS3/LS7 shortblocks as well. but only one LSX short block that is done. it is a flat top. the prob on the LSX blocks are you have to go to a fairly large dished piston just to get any compression under 10:1...

Scott, did yall decide against having your local machine shop do the work on it? I've still got several 408's in stock (granted, not LSx but still iron) that would work for your boost needs!

Matt

I'd like the LSX block. The 6 bolts on the heads is appealing even if it may be over kill for now. I just don't want to end up in a waiting game and have the fricken Army send me away again or someone not do the block right machining it. I also am sick of missing the track, I haven't been in almost 2 years bro. You guys are AWSOME and I have had great luck with everything you all do. This would be my 4th engine from you guys. Time as of today became a crunch. Plus I have that damn turbo kit I put together to do on top of this. If you can get it out assymbled quick, I'll stay with you. Service and quality you guys provide is wonderful. Again time is my thing.

Call Fran at Race Proven Motorsports (RPM). He has a few on the shelf, atleast he did last week when I called about one.

EDIT: **** he just has blocks, don't know how long it'd take for him to throw a shortblock together for you.

No, no problem at all bro. I went with a 440 LSX 4.0 crank. Ron at Venance had one ready to go. Please don't take this as a slap man. You guys have always been great. Right now time is more valuable than money. I just got something coming down the pipe from the Army and to say I will not be here all summer will be a understatement.

Glad Ron could get you taken care of quickly. I understand time constraints as well as anyone! Let me know if I can help with anything at all on your project
