look on the front of the engine and compare the waterpump and timing cover to that of a normal 6.0. The timing cover will be slightly more extended and have a plug going into it; this is for the VVT cam phaser.

I just got my 6.0L LY6 VVT motor running in my 1994 Firebird with a M12 T56 in it.

The 2006 Trailblazer LS2 (24x reluctor) does not have VVT, correct?

Correct

The first year for VVT was 2007 and used on the L76 AL block and the LY6 iron block. The L76 has AFM the LY6 doesn't. There were carry over Gen III LQ4/9 still that year which of course aren't VVT.
