I'm pretty sure that is incorrect. The PCM in the '05-06's only supports the 24x.

If the engine is on the stand, why don't you just look? Take the oil pan off (you've got to anyway to put your F body pan on) and count the teeth on the reluctor wheel. It is at the tail end of the crank. Use a sharpie to mark where you started.

Unless somebody that really knows chimes in here, I'm almost POSITIVE that the 05 GTO LS2s were 24-tooth, and the 06 GTO LS2s were 58-tooth. I KNOW that my 05 GTO LS2 is a 24-tooth, though.

And yeah i'll just count it when im swappin oil pans. Got the improved racing oil baffle too.

you can pull crank sensor out and put your finger in the hole and have someone turn the crank one revolution and count the teeth.
