For my 2010 LS3 Camaro... G6X1 or G6X3 or other? Please advise.
Doing a cam in my 2010 LS3 Camaro this summer. Been looking real hard and talking to Anthony @ LG about either their G6X1 or the G6X3. Also have been liking what I see from TSP's .225/.230 cam.
Basically, these are the 3 things I want out of my car, in this order of importance! Keep in mind I will be doing longtubes. Do not plan on porting the TB or working on the heads. Just want a cam only car. Planning on keeping the stock 3.45 gearing. This is my DAILY DRIVER.
1. Would like to see 450rwhp
2. Would like to be able to cruise the car down around 1800-1900 rpm WITHOUT any surging. I'm usually above that.
3. Would like to have a moderately choppy idle
My car is my daily but I only drive like 10 miles a day and don't mind driving "above" a cam. Think of it more as a weekend toy type of usage. Im liking the G6X1 on a 112 LSA or the G6X3 on a 114 or 115 LSA. What do the experts say? Thanks

i love my g6x3.. its a daily driver, but again im 21 so i dont mind putting up with it. its all relative, you may hate driving my car but i feel driveablilty is great.
my idle is super chopy, but i have a custom chambered exhaust setup from classic chambered.
no numbers, ive been dyno tuned but i was on stock 98 manifolds, so the power droped off after 3000 rpms(super early). now im on headers and full exhaust, and a much better air box. im confident im well over 450, just havent had time to go back to the tuner....

The g6x3 is what you what hands down. It is the same cam in the current fastest cam only 2010 camaro. Drivibility is all in the tune so get a good tuner and you will be fine.

We have two cams that we have been running in the Camaro's, but I think the one you would want would be our LS3 Lethal. 232/242 112. The cam drives great and makes excellent power. 460+ rwhp

i dont think they offer different lsa's for the g6 line, they didnt give me a choice atleast... i believe the g5 series for the gen 3 motors have a choice of lsa.
they dont release specs, but dont get caught up in that. this cam is designed to work best with a stock head, bottom end, and intake manifold ls3.
oh and btw i was cruising at about 1400 rpm yesterday, no bucking and my tune isnt near as good as it was before i added headers
