Default LS7 lifter preload?

I was going to use Morel lifters in my LSX. The morel lifters are just a tad longer than LS7 lifters. At the top of the cam lobe, The little dinkey plastic tray that comes with the LSX was slightly being picked up. I'm not comfortable with that, so I'm using LS7 lifters. Will someone tell me the preload on LS7 lifters?

I think that the plunger can except anywhere between 0 and .120. The target being .060 or so per Richard at WCCH.

Yep, .050 to .060 is a good place to be.

True but noisy in my experience. 0.80-0.10 and she quiets up a lot

Mine is very quiet. It was noisier when it had .080 preload. Lots of others have the same results, noisier at .050 - .060 is not very common.

seems to be no definite here. iv seen anywhere from .040 - .100. I think iv even seen more than .100. I did .050 and its not noisy at all, id say its quieter than my old set up that probley had much closer to .100 pre-load.

Anywhere from .050-.090 is fine. These lifters are very forgiving......

Hmmm it does seem odd regarding the noise thats for sure. Another build my nephew just did with .90 pre load and its real noisy valvetrain. Old school TR224 though the "noisy" but more powerful version.

.060-.100" will work although the factory sets them up closer to .080-.100". I find them most quiet at the factory pre-load.
