Looking at a 251/259 .624/.624 112+2 and trying to find out from some smaller cubed guys if they have ever used this cam with LS3 heads and what there thoughts of how it drove and performed.

i guess my setups a lot smaller than that even. 235ish/247ish, and a decent amount more lift. ported ls3 heads/intake on a 402

you guys didn't say one helpful thing here. no one has asked the combination of the car. car weight, gear, converter, tire height, compression? nitrous? na? forced? no one has asked anything relative to what he is asing including the USAGE AND GOALS OF THE VEHICLE. he can't be given a proper answer without knowing all this information at the very least. i assume its for that 403 gto with a 4000 converter?

If you look at his sig, it tells you everything you need to know. Unless of course he's talking about putting it in another car.

That cam is too big for anything short of a carb style intake, a 4500 converter, light valve train components, etc.

Is that a little more helpful?

A buddy of mine runs a very similar cam with TFS 235 heads that works really well. With that said, as the others mentioned that will be way off for an L92 based setup. How do I know? My current cam setup with my L92s is smaller (244/256 .600/.612 on 112) runs terrible and I'm in the process of specin'g a new cam that is much smaller and will probably make more power!

Here is a Texas-Speed 418 build with L92 heads and here are the cam specs they used, Texas Speed 251/259 Camshaft 110+3.

It made 640 on an engine dyno and made 558 rwhp in the car.

You'll always be able to tell the guy running that cam with L92/LS3 heads.

His is the slow car that's a bitch to drive...

BTW: I made 530/480 with a cam 20 degrees smaller on both sides. Still one of the highest "documented" L92 headed 403's running the L76 intake.

Could you post some dyno graphs of the engines you built that have made more power?

Also, could you post up the cam specs you used? Oh I forgot you don't post cam specs.

don't be hating for us not putting up cam specs. It wouldn't be fair to our customers to give away what they had to pay for.
