The Wavetrac comes with an unlimited warranty, and I know for a fact that the parent company of Wavetrac backs their warranty 100%, as we broke one several years ago at the old shop. A guy from Wavetrac called me right after we sent it in, and before long they modified their Wavetrac by beefing up the area where we had broken it. Bob
Bob, do you remember what part broke? Just curious.

I had a look at their web page and I liked their design. It looks very simple, something that could be user-serviceable. I think the option to change the torque bias ratio by using a different friction plate is cool. Have you played around much with that?

The 9" version is very compact and my guess is that this allows for the planetary gears to reside within the stronger portion of the case.

Hey Ceta, good luck with your car and the new rear. I think Bob's a good guy and does a good job with product support, so no worries. Don't forget to get back to us with more updates. Keep this good thread going

Yea I let you guys know with more updates. I should get the product by the end of the week though I wanna say thursday. It should get here pretty quick from what I been told. Then I will take it to the track and get some timeslips. Getting the 9in rear and driveshaft should eliminate the weak links in the drivetrain and pretty much finish up modding my car as far as having a solid build. Having alot of rwhp/rwtq is great. But I'm more interested in a proper setup of the car than just the motor. I can't wait for the 9in. Some people say I should go with 12 bolt. I was like "no I get the 9".

In this thread, see post#168. The dynosheet is posted there. At the time of dyno session, the motor had like 500 miles on it. So it dynoed 509rwhp/480rwtq. But the previous tune was crappy too. I replaced that tune with Frost's tune. Anyways, now the motor is broken in and loose which may increase the rwhp/rwtq numbers a bit. Not sure how much though.

Nice . . .

I want to do a 416 LS3 (4" Stroke x 4.067" Bore) in my 2000 Hardtop Formula . . . SLEEPER . . . 4L80E & Strange S60 with 3.54 or 3.73 gears . . . Will be 99% street driven, but "stoplight to stoplight" will be frequent . . . LOL !

So, are there any video's or sound-clips of your 427 ?

Ceta, I've been following your thread for awhile...great build with a great car! Always wanted a 427 in my TA as well, still doing more research before I decide to pull the trigger. I'm sure you have piece of mind now that you have that 9inch!

4.067" bore? getting custom pistons made? Why not 4.070?

This bitch needs 2" primaries, hands down. I used 1 7/8 ARH on a bone stock LS1 and picked up EVERYWHERE. This is not your father's SBC...

The standard bore on an LS3 block is 4.065" ... I assumed that it would open up by about .002" after honing. But, if 4.070" bore is the finished bore figure, I will use standard pistons.

Ok guys, sorry I took so long with the updates. I got my car back saturday afternoon. It ran fine at first, but then at WOT, it jerked real bad. It took awhile to figure out what the problem was. As it turns out, the fuel feed line was pinched up against the chassis by the torque arm. During break in period, something must have shifted and the fuel feed line got pinched up pretty good. I'm glad it was something simple without spending the money to fix the problem. Anyways, my car runs like a bat out hell and this 9 inch with the wavetrac is real nice. No more broke *** rearends. I didn't want to post anything til I got this problem resolved. Now I cant hook good cause my MT's going bald.

Oh yeah...the dyno section. lol. im curious because im worried about the TSP small bore LS7's being pushed out each week...for a week....for a week....for a week. The SD heads flow best for bang for the buck, and i think back when this build started and the first dyno numbers came out SD said it was a smaller cam because it was what he wanted. Correct me if im wrong OP. I will probably go with a little more aggressive cam on mine.

Well when SD posted up the dyno results in the dyno section, they basically explained that I wanted a street&strip application. That's what I told them I wanted. It wasn't like I told them I specifically wanted a smaller cam. I just simply told them I wanted a stroker motor that can be driven daily with street manners and as well the ability to lay down the hammer. I wasn't interested in peak hp or a donkey dick of a cam. Personally, I think my cam specs is pretty decent. Some people think it's big and some think it's small. In any case, SD built a beast of stroker for my car. To me, this cam is aggressive enough for the streets if not more than enough. With this LS3 427 build, the torque is definately something to love. It's always there. The car doesn't fall flat on it's face and it doesn't seem to lose steam. That's what I wanted and that's what I got.
