Yea I got a flexplate from summitracing. They are no farther than 40 to 50 miles from my location. Hopefully, I should get it up and running by friday to friday nite. We'll see.

I don't know about being the first LS3 CETA. I'm sure there are alot of cats here that have more money than me probably already done it. Originally, I thought about getting the GMPP LS3/480 hot cam crate motor. But then, I was thinking that may want more power. Also, sooner or later do a H/C on the LS3 but im tha type of person that wants to do it right and leave no doubt. I thought I might as well get a fully assembly solid build rather than just a H/C setup. Plus I wanted my CETA to have an edge and have a great setup. So that's when I called scoggin with John on the other line and told him I wanted a LS3 427 from a company which scoggin is a vendor for them. John said they was out of that vendor's motor. So John not only spec'ed a better build, he also saved me alot of money too.

i just noticed this. most 427s are 4.125 x 4.000, so it is cool you can take it to the next step. meaning i could stroke mine down the road. the NA torque should be a MONSTER

Yea that's what I'm counting on. I'm interested in torque. I think I made a good choice going the NA route. Can't go wrong with a motor that's putting out well over 600hp plus/600tq plus in it's NA form. Yea im happy with this 427 and i cant wait to get this bad boy on the road. It's gonna surprise alot of people.

Wow! Super nice engine you got there. Good job from Scoggin for coming through with you. Looks to be top notch. Subscribed to see what numbers she makes and how well it does at the track. GOOD LUCK!!!

Thanks man. All it took was some research about what these LS3 427s can do and what application best suits me. We all know everyone has different flavors in what they want in their respective builds. I wanted a street/strip build that's something I can daily drive though I have another vehicle to drive. Though I want power, but I want something that most guys like me like to have lots of. That's called torque. This bad boy is the answer.

Thanks. I will probably get the car running in about a week or so. I gotta do the break in period before I take it to the track which will be one time deal to see what it does. But I will dyno it first though. So that should be later in the week too.

What valve covers are those? They look like they will take the traditional LS coil bracket as well as the LS9 coils is that correct?

I was told that these coilpacks are best used for higher HP applications. But they are cost effective and they do look good.

They are LS9 valve covers. They don't require a bracket, stock coils bolt directly to them.

John and I talked about this engine while it was coming along, I'm excited to see how you like it once you get it installed.
