thanks man. Maybe more when I break it in and change the oil too. I think my 85MM MAF is choking it though.

You can easily squeeze more power out of that motor if you wanted.

Go see how it runs at the track before adding more power imo.

Thanks alot. I am glad that you helped get the word out about this whole project.

Keep us informed as to what times it runs, what rear you go with, and what SBCs/SBFs you beat lol.

Ok I let you know. I just got my car and it's alot better now with the VR tuning. I'm still breaking it in and now I can take a break from driving my TBSS. Ok i got the dyno sheet posted here. Sorry if you guys can't see it but I took a pic and it's the best I can do. I dont have a vid of dyno pulls but I do have a idle clip. I dont know how to upload idle clip here. The car made 508rwhp/480rwtq. On the dyno sheet, it reads 500rwtq but there was a spike in the tq rating. Actual rwtq is 480.

Killer numbers in an auto car. I'm glad Ron and Vengeance worked it out for you, I was scared of that other tuner! That can make all the difference, it doesn't matter what we build for you without a good tuner to get it dialed in.

I'm not trying to be nosey. But, what does this kind of engine cost the way you got it? I have a nice leak, and I'm CONSIDERING pulling it if it needs a rebuild, and just putting something in it thats bigger, like this. IF the price is reasonable. But, I can tell some of you poor a lot of money into these cars. lol PM me if you dont want to say how much it cost.

A properly built engine like this complete with everything in mind costs in the neighborhood of 12k - 15k. If you want something smaller or larger or a diff block or intake, it will obviously change the price, but most of the complete engines like this will go for 10k+. That is custom built. We also sell the GMPP stock crate engines as well. Alot of them are less than that, and come with a warranty, but they are stock.

12-15k? It looked like his was the engine minus all accessories, wiring harness, etc. On your site it says something like 12-15k for a turn key engine with ecm. Did he get that, and all the other parts came in other boxes?? Also, how the heck are people paying for these engines?! A massive credit card, bank loan or something? Im SERIOUSLY curious. I doubt many people on this board just have 12-15k sitting around for an engine. I'm scared my time is coming, and just trying to figure this stuff out before it happens, which I hope it doesn't.

Well like me his car is probably payed off seeing how its an 02. Witch gives him no payments for the last 2 years if he did a 5 year finance. Then drop your insurance to liability once its payed off. Any your now saving 6k to 10k a year in payments. Not rocket science.

As far as the 10k to 15k in engine. Worth every dime. I will probably make 500+ rwhp (so really like 625fwhp) and for 150,000 miles or more. Thats a long time for kickin ***.

Congrats I know it was a long time coming. Im waiting on my build now

This was custom made to fit him. It came with 25% underdrive pulley/belts and new GM water pump along with 180/160 t stat and housing. That is also a FAST intake (800-900 new) Fast injectors (ls3 style - $475) 102 billet TB (359.99). You can see how this adds up right? He did not need a controller as this engine was spec'd to go directly into this application. Since it was an LS3 fast, he needed the LS2 rail and used the short injector, he needed the injector adapters. Those were included. The MAP was moved to the front of the engine for ease of install, it needed a MAP extension...that was included as well. Even the TB came with a new TPS (and it would have had a new IAC had GM not been on back order with them). All new sensors.

As you can see, the price goes up but its a complete package. It can be custom tailored to fit anyone. The price would go up for an LSX or LS7 block also. This was Callies Compstar rods and Callies Comstar crankshaft as well. If you want Scat pieces, the price would go down also, but not by a whole lot.

Recommendation is from 200-500 miles if you can stay off the pedal for that period of time. The Joe Gibbs Break in oil will last until your first oil change with no problem, so you can go as far as 1k without an issue.
