I have one. 4" stroke. It's not installed yet. I can take pictures for you. The machining looks very good. I was very pleased to find out it is machined for 2 keys and comes with the keys. I needed a key for the balancer because I use a trigger and the balancer hub cannot move. Aside from that it looks like a crank.

Anything in particular you need?

We have been using callies cranks in most of the motors we build. They have been working great. The quality is always top notch, and they can take a beating with no issues. We have a c6 z06 in the back of the shop right now that puts down 1060 rwhp with that compstar crank. We are out of stock right now but hoping to have them back ASAP.

The LSC crank is a 5140 forging. The Compstar is 4340 forging if I remember correctly.

I bought it mainly because the 4340 forgings are overkill for what I do (550hp NA motor)

I always shop around down to the most insignificant items. Check your PM.

Pictures coming up.

Have run the 3.825" LSc crank to 1060rwhp, run the 4.000" LSc crank to 800rwhp

Not saying its guaranteed to those power levels, we've had some people test the ragged edge with these no issues.

My mistake, I didn't even see the LSC in the title when I first posted. We have used the 5140 for a few NA builds and had some good luck with them as well. For anything big power I would go compstar for extra insurance.

I am willing to bet that none of them are the C series. First off they dont have the c series in the 4.100 stroke as of yet.

Normally with a compstar crank and rod combo, you will get the original compstar good to a nice amount of HP.

Per Callies, I believe these "C" series 5140 cranks were originally rated to about 650 HP.

Per talking to Callies today, they are now rated at 750-800HP. Not too shabby for some "budget crank".

I'm blueprinting the motor and I measured the LSC main journals last night: All 5 within 2.5592~2.5593". I am having fits with bearing clearance on #1. Standard Cevite H STD bearing show 0.0025" clearance (a little loose) and undersize Clevite H-001" show near zero clearance (0.0005"). That is too tight. I tried moving bearings around (journal to journal) to no avail.

I'll check the rod journals tonight.

Once cleaned the crank looks even better than in the pictures above. Mirror finish everywhere.

Default Callies 4" LSC 5140 crank blueprinting

I finished measuring the crank and everything is perfect.

Main journals are all within 2.5592~2.5593 with none beyond 0.0001" out of round.

Runout on center journal is less than 0.0006"
Runout on rear seal journal is also less than 0.0006"

Rod journals all measured 2.0992~2.0993 with none beyond 0.0001" out of round.

For a "budget crank" the machining is excellent.

Upon further inspection I did notice that someone, somewhere did drop the crank on a hard surface and dented the side of #8 rod journal. Not too happy about that but I don't think it will be an issue but I will show it to my machinist when I get it balanced. I'll see what he says.

I'm posting this since info on the LSC crank is hard to find.

Cool. What was going on in your above post with the number one main?

I decided to go with that clearance. Not much I can do about it. It measures 0.0025" one way and if I turn the bore gauge 90deg and take another measurement I get 0.0015". So average is 0.002". Not terrible but certainly not ideal. The issue is with the honing of that main from the factory. The crank is fine.

The H1 bearings are simply too tight for my build ( I got on average 0.0003~0.0005" clearance with them).
