Stock pistons? I don't think I'd use the ST4 with stock pistons. It should clear, but it's awefully tight. If you are willing to measure it will work and will make more power than the smaller options. If the vehicle is a driver it is probably too much though. We also have the SD0130 which is a 230/236 that we use in alot of driver cars

The best AVG power will usually win the race and be faster.....

98% window for avg power

2% window for max power

and most max power combos don't last, rpm kills motors or increases wear and fatigue.

I should have said I want the most out of my combo. So if I fly cut .070 I should be fine right if I run stock gaskets.

I have that same cam in my L92 engine in my 98 SS. Did'nt know that SDPC sells a version of it. The previous owner had bought it and installed it , but never mentioned where it came from. He just said a friend had the same cam in a Vette and that it worked well for him.

Engine is basically a 2007 L92, stock pistons, Compstar rods, lightly cleaned up stock L92 heads with lightweight SS valves, Comp XER 232-246 duration .595"-.614" lift on a 115 LSA, FAST 102mm/102mm setup, TSP 1 7/8" LTs, 3" ORY with 3.5" I-Pipe 3.5" x 16" Dynomax bullet to over axle into a 3.5" Hooker Aerochamber with single outlet.

Car is a fully optioned heavy weight non stripped with 4L85E tranny & FTI 3800 billet triple disc nitrous spec converter, BMR & Sphon suspension parts. Moser 12 bolt with 4.11s. Raceweight is 3775 lbs. The FTI nitrous converter is a little tight for motor passes, but drives really well on the street. Car has run best so far of 11.27 @ 121.17mph on a 1.63 60ft, ran 1/8th in 7.20 @ 96.89mph on motor in +1600 ft DA at 3775 lbs. I think in some good cool neg DA air it will run 11.0s, with the conv loosened up probably some 10.80s-10.90s or so and hoping for some 10.20s @ 130-132mph on the 150 shot.

Car has a 150 hp wet kit, but have not sprayed it yet except for one dyno run.

Car should dyno around 450-460 on motor, and 610-620 on the 150 shot.

I have my shift points set at 6500 rpm. Seems to rev to that pretty easily, but I have not tried it any higher. I have only made seven passes at the local 1/4 mile track with it so far. Still in the learning curve with what the combo likes. Just recently finished up with the 4L85E swap in the car, and learning what this new FTI converter likes to launch at, being spec'd for nitrous its a little tight for motor passes. I believe if I had the conv loosened up it could be a high 10 sec car on motor, not too bad for the raceweight.

I'm curious to see what its gonna do on the 150 shot, on the one dyno run it picked up 152 hp blowing through loose Circle D conv in the 4L60E that was in it at the time. Now with this FTI 3800 nitrous spec'd conv in the 4L85E it should take better advantage of the hit. I'm hoping in the cooler weather and neg DA air we get in the winter months, it might approach the very low 10s ( cross my fingers, maybe a 9.999 would be cool. )
