Default Cranking and poping issues! Any help?

Alright I have posted something about this before. I have a LME built 416 LS3 and I am beating myself to death with a issue I'm having. The car has a problem starting. It'll pop through the exhaust like there is a timing issue or something when trying to start it. I can turn the key back all the way off and turn it over again and it'll fire right up. After driving for about a mile I can cut the car off and try to crank it and it'll turn over until it kills the battery, but never crank. When it's running it rides the f**k out and is very strong. Been through the tune and it is spot on. The complete motor only has about 10 miles on it. I haven't really drove it since I can't figure out this problem. It's in a 2000ss camaro. I've switched the a & c pins on the extension harness like most have to do, but nothing has changed. Could there be something wrong with the motor? I haven't heard anything bad about LME builds so I'm doubt full that the motor was put together wrong. It's like it's miss firing ( not reading the cam sensor or something like that ). I have put new sensors in the motor and the plugs look great. Any help guy's!? I'm very desperate.

Is it throwing any DTC codes on the dash?

Definatly cam sync. Look in the front cover and make sure it is an LS2 1x gear and not the 4x gear. You will know it is a 1x if the gear has a raised portion 1/2 way around. If it is a 4x, well that will be your issue.

Yeah I was thinking it had something to do with the cam sensor. It just has never thrown a code for it so I didn't think it was that reluctor wheel on the cam. I'll check it out and see what I come up with. Any more information from anybody else is also apperciated!

How is your fuel pressure when it does this. My vette is doing something similar and I think it is the fuel pump not coming on consistently when it warms up.

It definitely sounds more like cam/crank sync, but more often than not, it will throw a code when that's the case!

Fuel psi is good Chuck. Anybody know if the cam sensor is not reading or reading properly, wouldn't the rpm's on the tach not work all the time or not work at all? I thought the if the cam sensor issues was acting up the rpm's on the dash would be screwy also.

If cam gear is wrong, you'd likely have a hard start condition, sporadic or non-functioning tach, and popping.
