I'm doing a pretty stout lq4 402 with wcch stage 3 l92's mast intake and pro systems 1000cfm carb thunder racing custom cam 243/251 and I have a th400 and 4000 stall I'm looking for 550rwhp min trying to get close to that 600 mark I think ur set up you are looking at about 520-530 to the wheels is my guess the Vic jr doesn't push a crazy amount of air the super Vic is the best bet for saving cash for sure I didn't think ls6 heads liked that much split duration but it will def be a freight train should pull real hard good luck on the build man

I had been running a 383 and it broke. I was going to go back to a 346 but got mc racing to build me a 408 for the same price. I had already traded my afr 225's away. Oh well.

What do the heads flow? Why did you go small on the cam?

Heads around 280 to 300. I ordered the cam when I was buying a 346 then a shop said they could do a 408 for the same price. I am not looking to do an all out race car on the mustang. I'd like to limit the rpms to 6500.
