Default Anyone with 6 bolt ERL run ls7 lifters with 4 bolt heads and stock trays?

I got my erl 427 which used ls3 core set up so can run 6 bolt at later date. But my ls2 lifter trays don't work now since they dont' fit right with the 6 bolt head options that were installed by ERL. I have modded up one and can get it to fit not bad but not totally happy with doing this. ERL said most guys run the linkbar lifters.
So going to the Lunati ones the better ones pretty sure they are morel 5206.
I hear different things about the preload on these. .from .030 to .050? I don't want them to be super noisy.I would guess will need a lot shorter pushrod to get the preload down. Engine is still on the stand so guess can figure out things pretty easily but also here you can't check wipe with the morels you need to use some test springs or something>?I have yella terra 1.7 non adjustable rockers.

Anyway wonderig if anyone has modded the trays to work with the 6 bolt
erl on 4 bolt heads.I see you can't run the trays when you run 6 bolt heads and then have no choice but to go to link bar type.

This will only be a problem if you get the 6 bolt ERL option. I wasn't sure if would need six bolt so went with this option in case do.I am running 4 bolt AFR 225 now so may never use it but its there just in case.

Yeah sounds like a good idea.I am not going over 20 psi don't think but not sure if its how much boost or more other factors like how much timing, etc that make heads lift.
Regardless it was good option to have. But yeah you will need link bar lifters or maybe can modify the ls2 trays but wasn't comfortable hacking them up.
