The oil pump belt stays on at 7k rpm so that is looking good so far. Put a Katech billet tensioner on the main belt. I just test fit some custom seats I'm having made for it yesterday. Still progressing.

Doing some clutch and drivability testing. Can't keep the AC belt on. I'm definitely pleased with the sound.

Lighten up with the "smucks" comment, although I'm sure you meant "schmuck". My buddys came through at the last minute to help me out. I don't think they drive around with their hearing protection gear.

There is much less room than you think once the body is on, although I know I can make it work as I did consider it.

I agree it would sound amazing, but disagree that it would make more overall power.

Maybe a winter project. We'll see. I'm more interested with driving it this summer.

Sounds good. I'm looking forward to the 2.0 thread.

I did a little tuning on the dyno tonight. 684/626

Not fully tuned yet.

Progressing:

Added weatherstripping to the doors It really finishes off the edges and is a major step to make the car weather tight. I don't want any air leaks while I'm driving the car. Bluetooth phone calls is the main goal.

Built a seat bracket to accommodate mounting the sub belts per Schroth instructions.

I disassembled a set of Cipher seats then cut/welded the frames to shorten, narrow, and lower them. It was a lot of trial and error. I had the cushions redone for optimum comfort, fit, and headroom. They are reupholstered in leather and alcantara.

I'm about 6' tall and in the optimum seating position I have 3.5" of headroom. Should be plenty of space for a helmet. I went with Schroth Enduro belts. The cam lock belt adjusters are the cats meow. Just butter. They are super quick and easy to get in and out of. I'm very pleased with the ergonomics in the SLC interior. It actually feels large from the drivers side. It feels more spacious in the drivers side than my friends Gallardo Spider.
