Default EPS Cam Numbers - disappointed

2007 CTS-V that had a baseline dyno of 387/384. Afterward with temp within 4 degrees the numbers were 482/420. I expected more than 100hp gain with the following(also the gains don't really come on til about 4500rpms). I would have expected the gains to start closer to 3000 and be more. Am I way off or are those low for an ls2 with T56?

230/238 .600 / .615 112 + 2 EPS Cam
trickflow 225 heads milled to 63.5cc for 11.3 CR
Fast 102 intake
NW 102 TB
4" pipe with stock ls2 maf (would it be worth ditching the maf and going SD or going with a 100mm maf?)
YT ultra lites 1.7
7.55 pushrods
No Weeds Diverters
Injectors
Fast fuel rails

The car already had 1 7/8" Kooks with Lingenfelter CAI and full corsa without cats and a mcleod rps with billet steel flywheel. I'm not really hung up on the number I just thought that heads, cam, FAST and other mods would have netted more that 100HP gain. I also thought the gains with the lower intake number would have come on earlier....

Should I try a different cam? Please help.

Seems like the original baseline was a little inflated, those seem like high numbers for just intake headers and exhaust, especially with the higher numerically gears the ctsv has over say a GTO with the ls2.

I would take you 'gains' with a grain of salt...what you should focus on is the final number. 482 at the wheels with h/c/i stock cubed ls2 is very good. You technically could be pushing 500 with an SD tune and maybe an electric waterpump. Both those numbers are very impressive with a 364.

That is also a just a medium-ish cam...with a 24x/24x duration cam and more lift you could be over 500. That is usually stroker territory...

I agree, that much power with a 230 cam is pretty nice man. My friends old 346 with the similar heads and a bigger cam made 455 so your doing good.

You should do some data logging and see what kind of drop in MAP you get at WOT. That LS2 MAF is a choke in your system, but I'm not sure how much it's costing you. I haven't found too many people disappointed with a 95rwhp gain after it was already on top of a healthy combo...especially in a streetable setup.

I think the tune needs some more work. The car seems to have the idle hanging a little and doing some idle searcing. I think i am going to ditch the maf and go SD for the final tune. The car is a blast to drive, I just wish it came on closer to 3000 rpm instead of 4500, but it just means I need to get used to driving it differently. I am actually considering a 100 shot and a ford 9" as my next mods. lol. there is never enough....

Thanks for all the comments.

Those are pretty strong numbers for that setup. I wouldnt be worried. That is just a medium sized cam. Should make a nice DD. Take it to the track and see how it does.
