Default where to find 4.030 pistons

Hey guys, im looking for some pistons for my LQ4 build, but the only place i can find some .030 over pistons is on summit, and they have almost a two week wait on shipping. Im just looking for some basic hypereutectic pistons, its pretty much a stock build... no FI or spray in this motors future. at 200 for a full set of sealed powers, i cant beat summit's price, my machinist wants 400 dollars for a set (in his defense, it does come with rings) but i may have to fork it over if i cant get them soon enough. Not real sure if im just looking in the wrong place or what. Thanks for the help guys!

I have Diamonds in my 370 LQ4. They are 4.030 with the stock rods. They only come in flat-tops with valve reliefs, or did anyway. I got mine from Speed Inc. when Frazier was still there.

I don't know what pistons you were looking at but the flat tops are ready to ship tomorrow.

Whats the difference in those diamond pistons and these?

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SLP-H857CP75MM/

Im a little confused as to why/how summit sells these pistons for 200 a set, while on other sites, the sets go from 500-800 bucks??? Inferior materials? I understand that some of the sets come with rings and pins, but i wouldnt think that makes up a 400 dollar difference.

Diamonds are forged. I don't remember what the Diamonds cost b/c I ordered an entire list of stuff at one time.

I am not saying they are any better than another, just providing another resource for you to check out.

Its probably the difference between hypereutectic and forged that you are not seeing. Forged pistons are always going to cost more also when you go with names like Wiseco, Diamond, CP, and JE plan to pay more than Speed-Pro and Sealed Power.

I know that the forged pistons are better, and usually cost more, but ive seen hypereutectic pistons go for 400+ bucks a set (such as these http://www.summitracing.com/parts/UEM-S3518HC-25MM/), so im wondering if im going to get what i pay for, or am i completely missing something..

That price is because you are looking at buying 1 piston which cost more because they want to sell them in sets of 4, 6 or 8. Here is a link for buying 8 of the same pistons which costs 329
