Another ls3 cam thread
Some use a smaller lobe with higher lift (Texas Speed's 3 main LS3 cams) and others use a larger lobe with a high lift (LG Motorsports G6x line).
Your best bet would be to go ahead and spend the money on a Cam Guru (list what drive line you use, and how you use the car) and get a good cam for what you want/need.
I will say this though. The lift and lobe size you've been spec'd is a little on the high side for a daily driver (especially if your running an automatic).
With the LS3's lazy port head (high volume low velocity) you could end up under cutting the mid range if the cam is to large.
But the choice is up to you... Use the forums check the different companies cam listings for the ls3 heads and do what ya gotta do.
Oh and welcome to the LS1tech (if no ones mentioned it yet).
The G6X3 is a ~235 intake duration supposedly (they dont publish specs)...and sometimes those fit and sometimes they dont.
I would not install a 236 intake duration on your set up without checking.
