Gold glitter in oil after head swap
I just changed my oil after swapping my heads and it looked like I had some gold looking glitter in my oil as I was draining the old oil back into the oil jug.
It appeared as if the glitter was coming out of the used filter after I put it in the drain pan with the rest of the oil.
The car still has good oil pressure, and I drove it about twenty minutes and checked the dipstick and there was no glitter on it.
I put new PAC 1218 valve springs in the heads and they almost have a goldish plating on them. The guy who ported my heads thinks that it could be from the valve springs.
The car seems to run great, no knocks or ticks and has great oil pressure. There was no gold on the magnetic drain plug either. The usual amount crap was on there but nothing out of the ordinary.
What do you guys think??

I got scared when I saw something similar after I did a cam and head swap on my LS3. Turned out it was the break in oil and lube since I did use a lot of it. Also new components will release some material at first. I changed the oil at the first 500mi and then at 1000mi. oil is regular now and pressure has remained constant. Get it analyzed first, doesnt have to be a worst case scenario.
