Looking to get either of the motors. About qhat coat will it take for a good stout motor. Randing feom5tp-600 rwhp. Best bang for the buck and. What will cost to build

If you plan on daily driving/long term reliability, forget about the LS3/427. Try a SEARCH with the username.. "Dietcoke"

Do the 416/418. There aren't any MAJOR reasons not to do the 429, but... I can think of at least 10 minor ones. Only difference between them is going to be 10-12 ft/lbs of torque anyway. If you want it to last a long time, smaller stroke is better

With stock sleeves, longer than 4" stroke is less than desireable for longevity (pulls the piston skirt out of the bottom of the bore and ring pack moved up decreasing piston crown strength). I would recommend a 416 (4.07" bore and 4.00" stroke).

24x or 58x reluctor? You'll want a 24x for a 2000 Trans Am or else you'll need a converter box.

Just curious on price ranges on the 418 and 427.. tfs or afr heads to.. good hot cam. Callies or similar god bottom end
