Default 6.0 Build what to expect?

What kind of track times and HP numbers are people getting out of an Lq9 bottom end these days? From what i have read the compression is lacking with a 6.0 unless i were to do forged pistons and rods. And if i were do buy pistons and rods i would buy a crank also and stroke the damn thing....

My ls1 took a plunge and i have these parts to put on top of a 6.0. what do you all think?

236/242 .615/.615 111lsa
AFR 225 heads at 59cc chambers
Fast 102 /fast 92 TB
FTP lid w/ ram air
1-7/8 Headers

As for "lacking in compression", LQ9 engines have flat tops. You're thinking of LQ4's with dished pistons. You should be able to find an online calculator to figure out your compression ratio with the 59cc chambers.

with a flat top piston and a .04 gasket zero decck, i would be at 12.09:1
assuming i have to flycut (i had to with the same stuff in my ls1) and assuming -2cc reliefs i would be at 11.78:1 and if i had to flycut to say -4cc then 11.48:1

i guess what im worried about is that even stepping up to a 6.0 my car might run the same or slower than before. I know the heads and intake will like the bigger bore and im also going to have 1-7/8 headers now so it might surprise me

Are you using the same HCI combo on the 6.0 that you had on the LS1?

yes, the things i listed above were all in my stock bottom end ls1/6 other than the bigger headers. Im ok with a different cam but i plan to use what i already have unless someone has a better idea.

Just make sure you have an LQ9 before you do your calculations. The LQ4 are dished .011

never on a dyno.... quickes 1/8 mile was 7.32 with a 1.59 60' with wrong injector data....so no clue, i think with the right injector data it would have went 7.0-7.1

well lets say it like this with the right injector you think 7.0 - 7.1 for the time. Well with the bore being bigger you could get better air flow but with heads ported and bigger valves for the lager bore size. But heres the killer, as is.. there the same iron vs aluminum 75lbs. difference. If you just change parts over.. hell it might get 6.9 with a little $ spent in the right places.. cam/heads and a good foundation short block. 11.0 -11.5 compression, cam must match your compression....aka 2 much cylinder pressure.
my bad you have the afr 225 take the head work back... match the compression 2 the cam
