Head Suggestions for Lightweight LS2 402ci Stroker
Putting a deposit down on a 402 shortblock.
It will consist ofan LS2 block, a machined down LS7 crank, LS7 titanium rods, and some custom lightweight pistons from JE.
The thing about the pistons is the valve reliefs have to match the valve angle of the head, so we technically have 3 choices here, maybe 4.
Stock 15* that would be CNC'd and worked by either Chris Frank @ Frankenstein or Darin Morgan @ Rehr Morrison. I have no flow #'s for either, but know they'll be top notch.

I sincerely welcome any thoughts and opinions. If I can fit it under a cowl hood, which I haven't figured out yet, they might be paired with a Holley mid rise or hi rise intake.
Car is a 2004 Corvette, M6 with Phadt 1 7/8" x 2.1" x 3" Tri Y Headers, No Cats, and a Corsa Sport (catback stays for the time being, might custom fab a true 3" corsa from a C6Z)
I believe the real limiting factor here will be if I go with a polymer intake or a cast type...
Who's experienced either of the heads, what manifold they were running, and how the power was.
Flow #'s don't necessarily mean ****, but you need to have an idea of what it's doing so you can pick a cam.
So John, care to post said chart?

I can honestly say if the car doesn't hit 540 I'll prob rip the motor right out and sell it.
I'm put max budget "around" 3k so AllPro isn't even in the question.
And I'll be honest, I'm not completely sold on a square port head. But I do wonder what the Mast "small bore" would do if the chamber were opened up for a 4.005" bore. 240cc would seem to me to give better port speed with a slightly smaller CSA.
No AFR's though. I want better than a 15* valve, but I'm curious to know what you put down, PaperMushrooms.
The cam will come from Ed Curtis.
Did you find the info 4 the flow chart on Yellow bullet.... LS3 bare heads U 2 cost 175... in 08... hell of a mark up... glad I got'em bac then.
The stage 1 get 388cfm
Stage 2 401 cfm
stage3 410 cfm.. 4 Franks heads... I liked that the stage 2 heads got 757hp with a solid roller set-up that was Very close 2 my set-up... I went with the stage1 heads as this is a STREET car...I know that I still got 700 just with some low - mid range TQ...
Base LS3 heads are hard 2 beat for what they cost...I am looking Good with them...700 horses strong.
