Default Need help fast! What for rocker arms on my setup?

Hey guys,
I'm having a 408 built at a very reputable engine builder and we are using very good parts inside but at the same time I am on a budget. The engine is going to be boosted, E85 etc and approx 1000hp and its main purpose is drag race application.

My issue is, rocker arms.
I was planning on using Harland Sharp adjustables but I guess no one has them in stock.
So they said they need to be forged rather than cast since its boosted?
Anyway I wanted to keep the cost about $500-600 for the rockers and they of course suggested Crower for $1450 - OUCH & NO WAY

They also suggested a company they never have used but they thought it maybe great - Speedmaster? a full set of SS 1.7 adj rockers for $160???? WTF
Here's the link
http://store.speedmaster79.com/p-255...r-arm-set.aspx

Not sure what to do, please help thanks!

Save yourself some trouble. Save you money and buy some Jesel or T&D you will save in the long run. Call me I will give you a good deal on some Jesel's. I have them on my car.

Kip/Briou I agree after doing some research on those Pro Comp's it seems stupid to spend all this money on a good engine then expect a cheap set of rockers to control all the important stuff lol
Thanks for the input

Ya, the Pro Comp rockers are crap. Really heavy and the quality is not good.

Kip also has some very fair pricing. I bought a set of Morel 5206 lifters from him today. They were in stock and significantly less than several other sites I've visited. Thanks Kip and Danny.

Anything wrong with stock rockers. I'm running OEM rockers for the past 15k miles in a 1100rwhp build, no issues.

I would take a look at the Yella Terra YT 6638 shaft mounted adjustable rockers. I have a new set of these that I was planning on using for a boosted application in the future and they are nice rockers. With the shaft mount they would be stronger any of the pedestal style rockers. While a step below the Crower, Jezel or T D rockers they are also half the price. Good luck.

Depending on how much lift at the valves your cam has, upgraded stock rockers might be a good option. FYI, you'll need taller valve covers if you go with the adj, YT RR..
