My Comp Cam from Martin should be here in a couple days. Cometic head gaskets dropped shipped today from Cometic---.045" thick by 4.130" bore. CR will be 13.8:1, aiming for a .035" optimum quench.

Seriously?!

I thought Iowa corn territory spilled over into the whole midwest.

There are 4 local E85 shops here - I'm considering going HC myself.

Actually, I've located stations not too far from me, in fact a few.

Can you guys tell me more about E85, as opposed to the typical Race gas? Can you switch back and forth from race gas to e85?

Hey BOLO nice build man, I'm an E85 man here- and the up side is great there's no need for race gas ever ones you are using 104 octane for about $2.10 a gallon and engine runs much cooler so street is a natural. (13.xx compression likes to make a lot of heat) driving around town E85 is a real allied.

It burns clean, smells good (to me) and can be pumped straight in your tank like pump gas.

Keep cylinders, pistons, spark plugs, combustion chambers, exhaust runners and exhaust system clean.

I should add you are going to need a High torque starter from the get go otherwise will drive your tuner crazy sense the OE will be slow with the extra compression and dump extra fuel on start ups changing everything for him every time engine is started.

I use a single Walbro 450 lph in tank E85 pump part number F90000267 with OE fuel lines and rails with 60 lbs. hr injectors, works for me.

It acts like a lot higher octane because of its cooling.

Was thinking me being solid roller might be able to keep up, You're gonna have 50-70rwhp on me now!! Can't wait to see this !!

I just got mine tuned on E-85 and I like my results, we were only able to get it up to E60 since I had a little 93 left in tank 530/500 unlocked

So E85 really make that much of a difference in performance and HP?

Compared to 93 yes compared to 110 not really but it's cheaper and burns cooler, I haven't seen a lot of N/A back to back results but on boosted stuff E85 makes more power than the 110

Higher the compression the better the results is what I've gathered

You sure did! I just couldn't dig deeper for 1800 on a set of custom 1.8 ratio T&D shaftmouns. I can always swap if I'm not happy with what I have.

That's putting down some power. Thanks for your results and input.
