Default All Pro lsw 12-2 heads. Please help.

Anyone on here familiar with the All Pro LSW 12-2 heads ls7 ports? I am being told they only use a specific intake manifold only all pro sells. Wondering if this is true and how far off would these heads be from a regular ls7 port? I cannot see any different as far as bolt pattern only the location of the port being raised on the heads.

I have been looking for a few weeks now on info on it. Got a price on the All Pro intake which made my head spin for an as cast manifold and now im looking into other options. Here is the questions i have.

1) what is changed about the port location other then height?
2)Can a holly hi ram be modified to fit? Or another intake for that matter.
3)Is $1700 really the price of the All Pro intake as cast not ported? This was the price i was given. Was over 2 grand ported.

Made a mistake it is like the C5R intake bolt pattern. I think there smallest port is around 310cc not the 290cc listed, would you like the flow chart. Let me see if I can find it.

According to that the LSW 12-2 head use a Custom intake type. What i am trying to figure out is how far is it off from stock ls7 layout.

If it is c5-r pattern what manifolds fit it?

Yes the port design is like that of the C5r or the Mast PXR inline heads.

Research from 2012:

Subject:RE: TO!!!! Richard.... Info on LSW12-2 310 cc port

Hello Andre,
Thank you for your inquiry. Our 310cc All Pro cylinder head package comes with 2.200"/1.600" valve sizes and a 67cc chamber. I do not recommend upsizing the valve sizesd as the fit of a larger valves in the 67cc chamber will produce irregular match ups with the contours in the chamber. The valve seat angles are a conventional 45º and there is and option for copper alloy seats if you need faster heat dissipation. The heads can be flat or angle milled to get the chambers to your desired 58cc.
I've attached flow spec sheet of our 310 head. We can supply all the major items for your top end as All Pro has available cast aluminum valve covers and a cast two piece carb style intake. If this is to your liking I can put together an itemized quote for you. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you again for your inquiry.

Best regards,

BTW: what makes you want this head, this is for a Solid roller set up with a Minimum of .750 lift. This is for a all out Drag application. The Mast PXR inline head would make 4 a better street head smaller ports = better street manners or better off the line Tq because you'll only be able 2 use the 2 piece carb style intake from Mast or All Pro.

How big is the build that these heads are for: if under 427ci you'll be turning some high RPM & High lift to get your $ worth with 12+ compression.

Kinda where im going but im 4.185 bore and 3.185 stroke. I have the heads on order already just waiting for them to show up at my Cylinder head guys shop. Once they get there he already has his game plan on. Just need to figure out the manifold situation as i could not find anything anywhere that said it needed a custom manifold when i ordered them. Not a big deal just more a pain

This is why im wondering where the intake ports sit. If i can modify an existing intake to make it fit thats do-able. No way im paying $1700 for a as cast unported single plane cast intake. Thats insane. Worst case i will go sheet metal custom before i did that.

Good lookin out KCS.

Here's a intake modification like your wanting:
http://www.lsxtv.com/tech-stories/en...-and-manifold/

The intake runs around 4 to 5 hundred, Guys @ Wilson said that this intake was over $1200 once it was done.
