Default Purchasing Cammed Truck - Concerns?

First post here, so I apologize if I'm posting in the wrong place.

I'm purchasing a 2012 6.2 Silverado with 26k miles, has a Cam Motion Stage 1 cam in it, upgraded valve springs, and has a PatG tune.

My question is this. Should I be concerned about purchasing the truck solely because reduced reliability caused by the cam and tune? Opinions would help!

Thanks in advance,
HP

I would found out if the install was done at a shop or by himself. Also find out if he deleted the DOD/VVT stuff.

Any performance mods will reduce reliability, thats a given.

Hey, thanks for the reply.

All of the work was done professionally and the tune was done in person by PatG.

It's my understanding that the engine is a non-active fuel management engine.

Not sure about the VVT, to be honest.

If it's a cam motion stage 1 truck cam it will be as reliable as stock...that's the point of them and if Pat G tuned it in person you can be guaranteed that it's solid in that regard.

You should have zero concerns IMO.

The truck runs great! No complaints... except for the gas mileage!

My single cab 5.3 will run 20mpg on the highway. Can't really complain much about that for a v8 full size truck.

I used to have a 1992 v6 single cab that got worse and you had to turn the a/c off to go up a large hill without flat footing it or losing speed.

Pat G tune/cam motion cam is a great combo. Now if it has VVT it would kick more ***!
