They are no-good because they have a 1.8 ratio. Upgrade the trunnions in a set of factory LS3 rockers and install them.

Why aren't they no good? What kind of spring load do you use?

These are the specs on my heads
engine anyway, that's perfect.
The heads were ported from Greg Good. They're not milled at all (you can mill them if you want), They have Ferrea valves, stock intake size, over size exhaust (1.6), .650 dual valve spring kit from PAC, titanium retainers if I recall correctly.
Hope that helps.

I suppose you have to use guide plates, is what I don't like about them cause is a return to the old days on "how to" valve train.

If I was to use them I would have a 7/16 stud instead of 3/8 to avoid deflection and looks like the stud is not included as well.

That design requires the use of stud girdle to avoid braking the studs, now you are off to a really tall valve cover.

The GM LS rockers enjoy a great design.

I still can't see how there selling them so cheap..haven't done any research neither,
But:
With a normal hydraulic roller cam the 3/8 studs are fine ( and a stud girdle may not be needed). Now when going to a solid roller cam when using the Adjustable Ultra Pro Magnum # 1676-16 as I did, going to the 7/16 stud is a good safety measure(3/8 studs will work with solid cams that don't have some crazy Asz lift). I know I spoke with John @ Jomar about a stud girdle for the Ls3 about 2 months ago haven't had a chance to call back. Kurt Urban makes a Ls3 girdle but I need to find out about if it would work or could it work with some slight modifications. Guide plates and push rod holes require touch ups to run 3/8 push rods. Cheapest way 2 to run a solid roller. Proform valve covers work out great with the added height and cheap.

But if you run a normal hydraulic roller : Stock rockers and changing the guts....or needle bearings works out the best.

I ran those, or an older verison, in 1999 on a FORD engine. I COULD NOT keep the polylocks from coming loose. I hated those. They may be better now.

I just put a set of Crower Shaft mounts on and they are an excellent setup. Problem is they cost $1399, but you get what you pay for.

I will never use that style polylock again. Thats just my opinion.

Awesome! Thanks a bunch guys! I've decided to get a used rockers and getting a Brian tooley trunion kits. Do I have to soak this in oil as well prior to install? I know you have to do that for lifters.

I got a set of take-off OEM rockers w/trunion upgrade.

Came off my Texas Speed built engine.....these were mounted but never ran on the engine......so they'd essentially be 'new but not in original box'.

PM me if interested.
