Default looking to build a 427 ls3 is this right?

I have a ls3 block std bore i was told by a machinist here i needed the following for my build. Eagle 4.10 crank, 6.125 eagle rods, and 4.070 forged pistons. Is this correct and a good combo??? Im looking at prc stg 2.5 6.0L heads milled to 69cc trying to get 600hp is this possible with this combo? Thanks

Don't waste money on eagle!! I would stay at a 4.000 crankshaft in the block. Better overall reliability. That'll put you at a 416 ci.......

Again the 4.10 crank starts to really pull the piston out the bottom of the bore.....

As far as your goal as 600 horses.....
I would read this article.....

What brand would you use? Scat or something else... I see that they made great numbers i was thinking of getting the prc stg 2.5 ls3 heads

scat over eagle. K1 over scat. Callies over all of them with wiseco pistons...

Might have to shoot me a PM about the other part....

IMHO if you are going with a 4.100" crankshaft I would look hard at the JE pistons. They have a good design for the slightly longer stroke.

Sell the block and buy one already made. I think there's one for sale 419 ci for 5500. You will ended up spending more on parts and machine work

I wouldn't do 4.1, as others have said, it pulls the pistons too far out of the bore.
I'd also look into a pre-built bottom end.
600 rwhp or fw?

Also I've looked at prebuilt bottom ends but after research i dont car for aome of the parts used in them. I would rather spend the extra 500-1000 Bucks and know its solid i think

Just wanted to share this build here with you also.... it's a old thread but it still gets attention due to it being a absolute beast.

That's correct! I've noticed most of them advertise 4-5k for a forged short block but with not the best components but at an additional cost offer the upgrades.

Been there, done that, don't do the 4.1+ stroke. Stick to a 416/4" stroke.

What about on a sleeved block? Is a sleeved block worth the extra money? NA build street/TRACK 550-600 RWHP.

I was initially going to build it with a 4.100" stroke, but decided to with a 4.000". In fact DietCoke's suggestion made a big factor.
