Default L92 Cracked block near rear cover

Well, I've been chasing this oil leak since first start up on my L92 and finally found the culprit.

I have a friend that can tig very well and has a machine large enough to do it but I'm skeptical of how close it is to the gasket surface(pic included) and the bead causing it not to seal.

Any thoughts on JB weld stopping the leak?

Note – This block was already pretty damaged by an accident and has had the corner of the block near the started welded back on already, I picked it up for super cheap and don’t really care about it, already had it on the dyno and put down 821whp, don’t really see it lasting too long at that power level so I’m just looking for a quick fix for maybe 6 months if I’m lucky.

I looked at the pic first and thought... shipping damage? Then you said accident and it makes sense.

Problem with those blocks, you weld them and the crack moves, shitty aluminum. Brodix and Dart Al blocks you can weld those easier but take your chances with a factory block, I'd go the cheap route dough it up with Toyota black RTV.

If you want a quick fix, why not use a little ball mill in a Dremel and groove out the crack and little, then JB weld it, and let her eat!

Doesn't look like much oil could even get through that? Maybe go with the "oil is cheap" plan.

It leaks a drop about every 2-3 seconds, covers my transmission and exhaust with oil, and definitely can't go to the track leaking that bad, not trying to get someone killed.

Going to give JB a shot today, if it doesn't work can always grind it out and try something else.
