I'm going to put DNA all over them soon. Pictures, maybe an engine party. Just looking for an engine with combustion, oil and water all separated. Seems hard to do for some LS builders I guess.

Sorry to hear more bad news on your end. Try to not get to discouraged hopefully it all comes together for you here pretty soon. Youve got worse luck than me. I got my heap running, got start up and idle tuning about right. Took 3 days to get transmission fluid level right due to impatience and a damn lokar dip stick. Tried taking it out on road and as soon as I gave is some gas tranny goes in limp mode and all kinds of codes popped up. Got that straitened out but weatther isnt cooperating now.

Ugh! Nightmare this is
My 416 was 3 or 4 years to straighten out, in the end it was the cylinder heads. Never a short block issue as you are dealing with.
Chris Frank identified the original head problem, he then ordered rough CNC TF castings......get this.....they where shipped to Australia after waiting months for TF to manufacture them
The end result exceeded my expectations, I will never get that part of my life back or the crazy money to sort it out.
Martin did the last cam, lifter & springs spec's.

The TF's were the solution, they replaced the problem heads. Chris finished the TF's from a rough CNC casting, welded the chambers to deal the wrong pistons. Spent time welding that would not affect the flow of the heads.
He flowed the original heads that were suppose to be set on kill, they were suppose to be hand finished in the ports. I will never forget his phone call, what did you say was done to these heads All that was done is the combustion chambers were nicely polished to look pretty. How would I ever know? He did offer to try & get those cylinder heads to work, I declined & wanted something he knew would work.....the TF's then ordered.
I chased the low power for a long time, was told to find a dyno that reported what I wanted to see
I did break a couple of valve springs after the TF's were installed, **** house luck prevailed & I never hurt anything. After those two near death experience's I contacted Martin for a cam package that solved the spring issue & corrected a couple of other concerns.
