Default Low lash solid roller vs. hydraulic roller

Anybody running a LLSR setup instead of hydraulic? Wondering how the profile would be different. Ex. Would a 232/400 Solid roller perform the same as a 232/400 hydraulic?

For a CAMMOTION LLSR you need to add ~8* to the HR duration
to account for lash. So LLSR 240*/248* ~ HR 232*/240*.
Similar vacuum and Driveability with potential for
1000 RPM Increased RedLine.

Great. Thank you sir. I've always been concerned about exceeding 240 on duration. Heard that it's not recommended on LS3 without valve relief cut into piston. Is that a myth?

I'm running a LLSR in my LS2. Kip asked what profile I would want if it were a hydraulic and we settled on it being a 234/242. So the solid roller I received is spec'ced out to 239/247.

If you have the heads off just use a mic and measure valve drop. He can calculate what specs you can go up to and have enough PTV clearance.

The only thing I changed was the cam, lifters, and pushrods. Cam size went from 230/238 to 234/242. Car was running a best of 11.42 and now has went 11.33 with it being rich by 5%.

I'm using stock rocker arms on my setup with arbor shims to set the lash.

Per Kip my LLSR 236/240 ~= HR 232/236.

Great. Thank you sir. What lift and LSA is in that cam? Looks close to what I'm trying to build.

LS1, PRC LS6 heads, T&D rockers, BTR platinum dual springs, Fast / NW 92, 1 7/8" headers, '02 Camaro, M6, street / fair-weather / Power Tour car that I road race now & then. I have not had the car on the dyno since I put the cam in last spring (made 415 on a Mustang dyno before the swap). Valvetrain noise was reduced 90%, power is great, very satisfied. The car idles / runs great but I do have some light-throttle bucking that I can't seem to fix. I'm tuning myself (EFILive) so that's part of the problem LOL. It took me 2 years tuning with my old cam (232/236 hydraulic roller) but I was able to remove 99% of the bucking but with the LLSR I haven't got it done.

You can get a SR and the biggest baddest on the market, without the intake, heads and exhaust work, will make zero difference. Don't forget the other goodies.
