Especially in a car that's more of a street car than an all out track car....weight negatively effects everything....handling, braking, ride quality etc.....its not just how much slower it may be in the quarter mile.

Just my .02....and I'm not sure what the OP is actually doing so these are just my observations/opinions in general

Makes sense, I must have missed something somewhere because I thought the Warhawk block was aluminum. I know RHS has an aluminum block, but from what I've been told I can't run my stock dry sump with it. So it looks like an ERL sleeved block is in my future. Also tony, what does one of your ported MSD intakes run? I found a pair of brand new RHS pro elite 291cc heads for a good deal, do you think those would work well on a 441? I want good throttle response and I've heard going with too big a port with affect that.

You need to reach out to me before buying anything....I have a brand new MMS LS7 head I have been developing for a long time that flows 412 CFM thru a (finished) port volume of 265 cc's. Its peak flow is one of the highest I have ever recorded on my bench in an LS7 head (only a 2.205 valve btw) and it has one of the smallest runner volumes. This head outflows heads that are 20 and 30 cc's larger. It's the have your cake and eat it too scenario.....brutal response and low/midrange torque and huge upper RPM power. I have an entire package built around this head in fact (part of that the MSD you mentioned).....special rocker arms I had built for it by Yella Terra.....lightweight intake valves. I have invested over a year on my LS7 gear since leaving AFR and I have developed a really kick *** well engineered package for these engines.

You need to have me send you a complete package and btw, Im a distributor for ERL....I can help you dial in and set up the shortblock as well so it compliments the top half we are considering.

Your thread title makes my involvement in this project a no brainer....the more you let me micro manage it the better your results will be. If you're familiar with my reputation you know my products/packages always deliver.

Email or pick up the phone and we can take it from there but you better have a healthy budget for the project....a bad azz LS7 engine is no joke in the budget department....if it was cheaper you would see alot more 700+ N/A engines around here. Cost of admission is what normally cause most to shy away....even building it yourself the laundry list of parts gets well into the five digits quickly so be prepared.

Perhaps we build it in stages.....doesn't hurt that wallet as much that way.....let me know how I can help.....Im pretty easy to get hold of!

Regards,
Tony

OP, i haven't seen anything great from RHS heads. Maybe I just haven't seen the right combinations, but seems so far every combination I've seen with them doesn't ET so well. MMS or Trickflow two of the options I would definitely consider

I'm thinking RHS LS7 heads was used on the LME 451ci build for the purp but I'm not 100 percent sure about that. The 451ci called eye of the tiger made 670hp/600tq at the crank using the GM LS7 intake manifold which is quite impressive. The GM intake outperformed the high dollar Wilson intake manifold.

Imagine TFS Ls7 heads with short side radius and throat work along with tuning the runner.

The Warhawk is an aluminum block, not iron.

Why wouldn't you be able to run the dry sump with an RHS block? Comp makes a front cover for the RHS to use the LS7 oil pump. I don't see why they would make that if you can't run the LS7 dry sump system.

Also read about a guy named Diet Coke who made well over 600 rwhp thru a auto also. There seems to be end less ways to make power, E85, Sunoco race gas or plain old at the pump. Solid or hydraulic as for the cam, guess it depends on what some one is wanting for a engine and how deep is there pocket. Because I foresee 800 fwhp will now be the new common goal of some of these guy's, it's just getting easier and easier.

Kinda hard to have a shootout though when each head is specifically tailored to the customers goals. "As Cast" or "Stage" heads I can see, but I know Frank has like 8 different variations, as does Darin Morgan / Reher-Morrison... It wouldn't be apples to apples at all.

Both Darin and Chris have Very similar programs for both Ls7 and Ls3 heads just depends on what your wanting. Also have a old Engine Masters where Jud of SAM and those guys heads where 3.2 square inches and flowed .420 cfm with a 2.230 valve. All flow benches are Not the same. You would need to find someone willing to flow and test them on a common short block. Who would be willing is the question? And that would kill all the here say. But that won't happen as sales would drop for the losing competition. GNX here you are:

http://www.corvetteforum.com/forums/...-and-data.html

The Cnc only cost around a $995.oo but added in milling: from my email last wk.
I would also like to have what you have listed as: Raised port roof for better intake manifold alignment with milled heads. Because I would like to get the compression up around 12.3 to 12.5. I'm wondering could we angle mill them in the process if this would make a better head maybe 11*- 10.5 degrees? Between us I'm just wanting what I'm calling the ADM Ls7 heads: Angry Darin Morgan. How much did I add to that price of $995.oo?

I'm not talking about a flow bench shootout. A built shortblock with 427ci+ and then bolt up all these heads running the same intake(s) on an engine dyno.

Run the RHS block, It can be used with the factory C6 Z06 dry sump. You need to purchase comp front cover, to clear the factory oil pump. Comp Cover will need a little machining to clear the a katech oil pump. Heads, I'd use the 260 ls7 trick flows with shaft rockers. 13.5 to 1 plus cr & E85.

I want a driver that I can take anywhere. If I was using this as a track car or just a local weekend car I would run 13:1 compression with E85, but it's not available in all areas, and I don't want to have to reconfigure my entire fuel system for the volume it would need. Thanks for the input though.
