I'm thinking down under terms may be different it probably describes what we know as flash I had a 3700 that flashed to 5400 on the hit running down the road (I could be wrong) I got to say I miss it and may go back to it.

Can't speak for Dogsballs, but I only every refer to flash point of a converter.

My previous AllFast 15-090 converter flashed to 5,000+rpm.
Current AllFast 25-090 converter flashes to 4,200rpm.

If he says “6.0”, I can only assume it is 4.000x3.622.

Is there an inexpensive way to get there? Custom pistons my only option?

I'm interested in cheap, because if it gets too expensive, I figure I'll just bite the bullet and go with an ERL dry sleeve 440ci.
I know that the original post is old. But I just thought I would post this for reference in case someone wants to do something similar. Anyway, I was looking for pistons for an LS build, and came across these pistons. These are just off the shelf PowerPak pistons from Mahle, and will be FAR cheaper than custom pistons. If you are okay with 2618 pistons, the pistons alone will get you into the mid 12’s. Throw in a thinner head gasket, and you are EASILY at 13:1.

Also just throwing it out there, GPI now has a rod/piston combo to net up to 13.5:1CR for LS3 guys.
