Lol yeah been busy AF. Got improvement projects at the house now. Car likely won't get much attention other than DD for about a year.

Its fun. LaserLemonTA came down and drove it. We had a blast. Only "complaint" is map stops at 90 kpa at peak power. So I got a ls7 low profile sniper for cheep to see if I can make less traction. Supposedly fits the cowl. Well see

Nice I got one for ls3 heads but I'm still waiting on heads from porter. Looks promising.

Jakes car rips! I had a blast driving it. It really sits you back in the seat when it finally gets traction lol

Read this whole thread and didn't see this one;
With the tuning effort and big cubes...it really swallowed that horse **** with ease.

Awesome work.

So, some updates and (of course) some weirdness.

First off, I scaled the tune 25%, because I was getting 512 g/sec from 5600 rpm up till I let up. I also did get the dwell up to 8-ms. Still running about 25 degrees total timing under full load.

For $600, I got the sniper low profile to see how it does. Have to say, I like this intake. The main reason is that it allowed me to really clean up the engine bay. I run -4AN steam vent lines. I was able to run them under the intake, re-route the harness, reroute the fuel connection, freed up some space near the firewall, and really improved the engine bay appearance. I still have some more work to do on supporting the radiator (I can see everyone laughing at the strapping holding it up already) and freeing up some more space for the vacuum pump to run well, but It is back on the road. Here are some quick performance specs:

Peak.......................Stalk............Sniper
G/Cyl Airmass........1.26.............1.32 (scaled 25%)
G/Sec Airflow..........unk (512)....601 (scaled 25%)
IDC.........................86%............98%
Max TPS................100%...........76%
WOT Map..............94 Kpa.........102 Kpa

Only issue is the sniper plenum interferes with NW 102 throttle cam. I can fix that, but it was unexpected. Other TB may or may not have same issue. Certainly ETC would not have the issue. Hoping to see even more improvement when I can hit 100% on the throttle.

Looks good as usual Darth. Nice work and update. Sniper seems to be an awesome intake for the money for sure

Some more tuning goodness. The coil dwell made a big difference, but it's hard to quantify. I swear you could hear every cylinder fire. Well, what also happened was I need less adaptive spark to hold idle. I was using 0-14 degrees correction, and have backed it off to 0-8 degrees. This really smoothed out the idle. I'm tempted to try zeroing out some of the lower rpm error cells to see if it will just hold idle with no adaptive spark at all. I still have the plug gap at stock, but that's just due to how difficult it is to get to the plugs right now. I have time to tune, but can only make wrenching time when it's critical. And let's face it, only getting 90 KPA map was CRITICAL!!!

I'd still like to upgrade to a custom controller, but I want the dash to work too, so that's still out there. I also still have tons to do at home, so I might have to "settle" for now...

Man I'm gonna need to do some of your tricks in tuning when I get the 427 going. Which plugs are you running? I was gonna start with try and .035 gap

Just TR6 for now. With these coils I'm sure you can open that gap. They got 4x the spark energy. Tough to fit them in the F car. Clearing the heater hoses is the worst part.

Edit -- meant to add... I zeroed our the adaptive spark less than 100 rpm error. Really smooth now. Still sounds beefy but it is much tamer sounding.
