Default MAST 225 Heads on stock LS2 opinions

My friend knows someone who's build is going in another direction, so I may able to get some MAST 225 3.90" heads for a good price. I've seen where most people doing CNC heads on a stock bore/stroke LS2 have gone with 215's from their favorite vendor. Would the 225's with a 69cc combustion chamber be too much for me?
I was initially going to have my 243's ported by TEA, but I'm debating on this purchase if the price is right. I haven't been able to find much online regarding the MAST heads in anything not over 400cu. The only thing I've been able to find here is the Ed Curtis is apparently the man to spec cams for those heads.

Engine is currently stock with FAST 102 and 92mm tb with long tubes. I was waiting to decide on heads before I order a cam.

Any feedback is appreciated, pros and cons.

Thanks

I have a buddy out in the Detroit area who has a stock LS2 06 GTO, and did the Mast 215 heads with a big Ed Curtis cam, Fast 92, etc...he made 500 rwhp. He said the heads were opened up a little to more like a 220 or so.

Thanks again for your insight. I'm going to send an email to FTI today to see what they think. I would definitely use them for the cam.

These heads were already fitted with Bronze guides.

Pretty sure that’s assumed. Lance prolly asking for the specific guide part number as there are a few different qualities

I'm not sure of which ones were in these.
He has some interest from someone that is going to give him more than what he was going to charge me, so I told him to go that route.

I only considered these because he was giving me a good deal. I'll likely just get mine ported

TEA and AI booth have stellar results. I personally would go TEA stage II

I'm just going to the TEA stage 2. My car is running good right now so i don't want to tear it down. I'm going to see if my friend has any 799/243's on any motor he has sitting around. I would rather not have to send mine off and wait for them to come back before being able to reassemble my top end.
My next decision would be custom grind or shelf cam and who to use in either case?
