That MID sleeve looks like a pretty solid setup, but only going on appearances....

To the OP, that block is JUNK if you are sticking with a factory style sleeve. If you REALLY need to save the block, then the MID sleeve is likely your only option.
The MID sleeves are a great design when the block is machined properly and the sleeves are installed properly. It's not your standard sleeve job.
There are a lot of examples of high horsepower MID blocks out there. I'd also recommend Steve at Race Ending Development (RED)

LS7 MID
That's an ERL wet sleeve in the photo, not MID. Here is an LS7 MID photo.
If the cylinder wall is undamaged below the water jacket floor, it can be saved. Otherwise it is junk.
I have one set of MID Gen IV sleeves left.
