4.190" bore pistons?

I got bored, and started playing with a bore/stroke calculator, and I'm just curious if there are any 4.190" pistons that could be used with a Darton sleeved LS and a 4.125 stroke to create 455CID. It's probably not cost effective to get the extra 1.08 CID over the Texas-Speed 454 (453.94), I'm just curious.

Custom pistons can be made to any size, but you might want to look at what ring sets are available - those would not be cheap to get in a custom size.

Yeah, what's possible, and what's financially feasible are two different things. As was said, you want to use pistons and rings that are already out there, and in good numbers to keep the cost down.

That's what I figured. I was just curious. I will almost definitely stick with a Darton sleeved LS 454. That is way, way down the road though. I still plan on an Advanced Induction H/C/I package for flex fuel next year.

I had some custom pistons in 4.190" bore made by RaceTec/AutoTec and the price was more than reasonable compared to other companies...... 441ci via a 4" stroke crank.

I sleeved a block years ago at 4.1875" bore to create a "455" for a Firebird project. That's a ring friendly size.
