Another "help deciding" build with a twist..
Ok...I have a 2000 WS6 I'm looking to build an engine for. As far as "what I want to do" with the car...I really don't know a focused direction for it. I'd like to get in it and drive 8 hours if I want, swap tires and take it to the track, not get gapped if a random 3 honk arrives...that kind of thing. It's not a daily driver but I will keep all the creature comforts like stereo and AC. It's already equipped with an LS7 clutch/tick master, RKT stage 2 trans, backbraced MWC chassis 4.11 9" and drive shaft, Viking coilovers in the front and ridetech rears, Black heart true dual exhaust, and Kooks 1 7/8 coated headers. I recently purchased a package deal from a friend that included:
-Fast 90/90 Intake and TB
-5 angle valve job 243 heads with new springs (may send to TSP for porting)
-ARP head stud kit
-G5X3 cam
-60K 3.62 24x crank
-and a cracked sleeve LS1..lol (new table)
With all these parts I'm not too sure which way I want to take a big boy build. Should I go 370 iron block with a single turbo? Should I try for a 6.2 aluminum block and build a nasty N/A engine? I've been warned away from 4" stroke cranks due to the piston rock/wobble at the bottom of the sleeve.
Basically...which one would you guys go to net me the most power with the least amount of long run bullshit? Thanks. Alex.

Besides a nice roadburner/cruiser, what type of racing do you envision for this ride? Corner carving or strictly straight line drag racing? Different builds...

I may do some cornering stuff but as far as "racing" goes it will be drag strip kind of stuff.
I'm not a huge fan of nitrous simply because I don't want a cheap Chinese solenoid to determine the fate of an expensive bottom end..lol If N/A, I've been told to go 12:1 on pump gas...does that sound right?

I'm building a 6.2 for a single cab 96 c1500 for mine. Aiming for 11.5 compression. I have access to 91 and e85 but seems the e85 isn't true e85 most of the time unless I take a trip to RS Fuel. If you stay n/a I would go with 6.2 with that g5x3 cam. Throw some nice heads on it, Fast intake and a good flowing exhaust and should be in high 400's rwhp or maybe 500's depending on top end setup.
