LOL. Pour Bortuous.

It is cool stuff though. Here's one thing too, you can look at spring pressures etc, but we have not even added in the force required on the exhaust valve to open it. Combustion chamber is X psi in addition to the ~700 lbs spring pressure on the power stroke. For simple math, let's use 1000 psi x 1.65 exhaust valve diameter is 1650 pounds PLUS the spring rate! Asking a LOT out of that poor pushrod!

This pushrod discussion is interesting.
I think this question has already been answered.
First of all I spoke with my tuner in regards to pushrod size fitment in my ls3 heads.
He says the 3/8 size will definitely not fit however the 11/32 will fit as it's in between the 5/16 and 3/8 size.
Can someone tell me a fact.
How much stiffer is a 5/16 ..80 compared to a Manton 11/32 .145 thick?
How high can I go in wall thickness in the 11/32 size and still have clearance?
I went on Manton's website and they have so many options for the 11/32 diameter.
We do not have Manton here in Australia and I have found a seller on Amazon that has the size I need.

I have the manton series 5 11/32 .120 wall. You should really be measuring every push rod for proper valve train set up.

I have. This is the size I need. I also require a 7.800 length.
We do not have these high end pushrods available down here in Kangaroo Island.

The manton you listed will be at least twice as stiff as the ones you have now.

So a Manton 11/32 .120 wall is also twice as stiff as a 5/16 .80 right?

Another question.
When you say twice as strong is this compared to the series 3 or series 5 manton pushrod?
I checked the pricing for the Manton 11/32 .145 in series 5 and they are 532.00 USD plus shipping!.
I found an 11/32 .120 wall Manton pushrod but it's from the series 3 line.

I'm using trickflows 3/8x.80 for BBC. As long as tips are same, so yes an lt1 of proper length should work

Can someone please tell me what radius tip size do I need to order for my pushrods?
Been going through Manton and they have a 180 and 210 degree pushrod tip radius option.
Which one do I choose?

All sorted.
I need part number 311 with the 210 tip.
If I ever take heads off again I'm going to clearance them for 3/8 pushrods.
I have been in contact with LGM racing and development.
How much did you pay for a set of these Manton pushrods?

If you get the Manton Series 4 for Guideplate use, they are designed to rub against something. So even if you make contact with the head, it won't hurt them. And will probably clearance the head a little while they are at it.
