The cup is actually above the link bar on the lifters I bought. Seems strange maybe, but I'm really glad. All things being equal, a shorter column is stiffer than a longer column. It's actually really good for valvetrain stability. Going to remeasure tonight and confirm, and then order.

Also, for anyone interested -- with the adjustable rockers, many will think the way to do it is to center the adjuster and then measure. What I'm doing is maxing out the adjuster so the cup rests against the lifter body. I'll then order the pushrods .010 short. When I install, I should only have to move the adjuster in about .010 to find zero lash. This way, if an adjuster does come loose, the worst that'll happen is I'll have .025 lash like a regular full-sausage solid roller
My old ones were an 8.4 length.
Looks good though Darth.
Are you getting yours from Manton?

Yes I am. I usually spend a ton of time measuring and remeasuring pushrods, so i probably won't have final numbers until tomorrow maybe. I also like to do blind verification before I order. Go back a day later, set the pushrod length slightly smaller, check with a feeler gauge and make sure the amount of lash is correct for the change in pushrod length. The first one always takes the longest, because you have to figure out where to start. Once you have that, the rest are usually faster, because you can start pretty close to where the final number is going to be.

I'll even play mental games like "Ok, if I set this .025 smaller, I should see .045 at the valve tip" and verify that's what happens. I even rechecked wipe, although that wasn't necessary at all. I just like knowing that it's where it's supposed to be after what happened.

I have 8.200 in mine. If I shave the heads any more, my intakes are gonna be to long. I have extra room im exhaust due to less valve lift. Those 8.1?? Happen to be closer to 8.150 or 8.175?

While waiting for new pushrods I went ahead and swapped fuel pump out. I needed to upgrade to a higher amp Hotwire kit, so just finished all that. Still gotta pull the old connectors out and fish the new ones through....
