Yeah I can tell, he sent me a warning for "Lacking Community Etiquette". I just thought the "Dumb *** Vette Moderator" would have a little thicker skin. Didn't expect to be threatened with a ban. It's all good, no hard feelings.

Yeah I kinda thought it was a bit thin-skinned on his part, but whatever.

Yes sir. That's half our business. Typically in the BBC and LS world, everyone wants something a little different and we do cater to that. So many different variables and combinations, the selection goes way beyond our crate program online.

Came with a manufacturing defect - they simply wouldn't accept it.
Their short block shed metal for all 8,000 miles of its' life.
I got sick of it, took it to a machine shop. Only because TSP would deny deny deny - that they've "built too many blocks for too long to make errors" - pretty much their attitude. Machine shop fixed it up (found two bearings that were losing material).
I showed pictures to TSP, but they started to blame "initial break in and tuning issues." - HILARIOUS. They provided me with a terrible plug in mail order tune that they said would be good to go. I followed THEIR break in procedure. I even got it dyno tuned to make sure I was good to go. TSP will deflect no matter what. At least they did to me. Any time I would defend, they would find something else to blame. Their warranty is BS - they will find ways to not honor it. Again, at least in my case.
They DID offer for me to ship the block back, and they would "repair it for a 50% discount even if it's not their fault" - yeah... let me just rip my engine out, and deal with the hassle of shipping it. Nah, FU** you. Jeez, let me tell you how I really feel.
Also, the bottom/lower main deck has an imperfection:
Upon installing my oil pan, it cracked at a corner. I figured "this is my fault, I should have been more careful with the alignment tool, no worries, it'll hold" - this was on the initial build.
After I pulled it out for the machine shop to fix the internal bearing issues, I bought a new oil pan and re-checked my work a million times. Go down to torque it to a measly 8ft-lbs on that bolt (following sequence) and it cracked again, on the *same. exact. spot* - so I did some measuring. Turns out, there is an imperfection. For whatever reason, their CNC machine or w/e they use took off extra material at that edge - it's hard to describe, and it's not visible to the naked eye.
Long story short, me unhappy. $7,400 for a short block - I expect NOTHING but PERFECTION. I did NOT get perfection.
Thanks,
Andy
Edit # 5,000 because I suck at compiling my thoughts at one go:
They promised a 4 to 6 week turn around time
They ran in to machine issues (this should have tipped me off)
But it took them 9 weeks to get me my short block.

I would never let a big company build my engine.
They would be in a hurry.
You want a builder who will take his time and does it right.
