Great results !!!!
IMHO, you won't find that extra 35 RWHP by simply switching to E85.....especially with only 11.9 static compression.
You'll need a big bump in dynamic compression to see anything approaching that extra power.
Is your 664 RWHP thru an auto or manual transmission ?

And, my input to the basic question of "how easy is it to build a true 800 crank HP N/A LS engine" ?
For high RPM drag racing purposes, fairly easy.
For street car duties that must idle in traffic, pull away from traffic lights smoothly, run a host of accessories like A/C, etc., cruise at part throttle ....... much, much, much more difficult.

Amen! That's the hard part is making it streetable or even dependable in some cases.

Yep.......as soon as we say "street car", a whole host of compromises to making big N/A power get introduced into the puzzle.
It's especially crippling for those of us who chose to do it in late model EFI chassis's.

Its thru a manual gearbox. It has been my 1st go at tuning with this engine. i thought i had the idle and street manners pretty good but the tuner took the rough edges away and on the street its amazing how smooth it is. definitely no worse than my last engine . Drives great. No bucking/surging at all

I wont get the 36rw with E85 , will see how it dynos then vacuum pump after that... I think the E85 will be good for the amount of track time itll see anyway.

Ill go against everyone and say it will get 28-32rwhp from e85. With VP you'll hit 700

And VP C85 has a bit more also. Usually makes 2-4% more than e85

VP X85 is a good one too. Just a clean consistent e85. Some guys don't like C85 because it has mtbe but I planned my build to use it from the start because I use it already with my boosted car and have it sitting around. I like it because it has a shelf life like gasoline

I still remember the horror stories from the 50's and 60's about hydrazine... you'll get a real bang out of it...

Most tracks i go to have E110. Itll be definitely worth going flex for track days just for the extra cooling ill get from it. Lil bit o power little less temp cant be bad.

We have a highway near me where heaps of modified cars go and cruise up n back about 3miles each way. Lots of ricers tear assin all over the joint, lots of 6cylinder turbos, then your V8s.
Heaps of 1st gear races n pop off's going, You might have a run to 70mph if no cops. LOTS of cops tho...
Last night was the 1st time ive mashed it in 2nd and hooked up.I couldnt believe how much i smashed the 5 or 6 ricers doin the run. They wanted nothin to do with me after that embarrassment. Wouldnt even pull up next to me at the next set of lights.

Come to think of it , since ive had it running again only 2 cars have had a go at me, both times old guys, i think im in that classification to, one a ferrari 468 the other a 911 turbo, once in 2nd gear i had em , the old dude in the 911 had 3 goes at it. He was lovin it. Its whats its all about.... Im loving this engine , really does sound full blown race, think thts why no one except those 2 old guys had a crack, hear my car n think , "hhhhmmmm i think id go down by a big margin so why embarrass myself". Oh well , great to just cruise behind em all n watch the stupid **** they do

I would expect your engine to beat most of these cars anyway.
Those ricer cars are so gay.
They make me cringe.
i have had a few down here challenge me.
From 80km to 150km. Got beaten too easy.
At the end of the pull I said you guys need to put a real engine in there.
Then you hear excuses "oh my mates supra would beat you. It has this and this"
Stick it up your ***.
You lost.

Lol Some can be quick, ... Its all fun... Win or lose i love it... Its called the Dandy drags where i went last night, Me and my friends were going there 35yrs ago.Back then we were into rotary's, triple webers on straight sixes.... Last night youd have mobs of worked cars, can get 20-30 cars cruising each set of lights Thered have to be a couple of hundred cars if they stopped at the same place.....

To answer the question How Easy to get 800hp NA, ill say easy, just be prepared to spend big...

There are some fast ones but they all sound like ****.
Aka a wet fart.
800hp NA would be awesome as hell.
Cost wise you are better off using a blower or a turbo.
Having an NA car though is a different feeling because it's all natural and all motor.
Plus the responsiveness too.
I'm thinking of going same route as you in future but with an aluminium block.
