Camming an ly6
On edit, as said below you will need a VVT delete kit besides the cam and springs you have. I just looked up the LY6 and saw it has VVT.

You'll also need to upgrade valve springs and it will probably need a higher than stock stall.
Any ls engine no matter what cam can run a small shot of nitrous, Some cams will just make a little more power if the grind is optimized for it.
You're also going to need timing cover and water pump gaskets FEL-TCS45993. As well as valve cover gaskets FEL-VS50504R.
For changing the springs out, you're going to need a valve spring compressor tool. You can use TFS-90307with the heads on.

I did an LY6 that made over 500 at the flywheel on the engine dyno and then 712 with a shot of nitrous.
Very few mods.

I have a similar setup in my GMC. I've got an 6.0 LQ4, with ported heads and a TBSS intake. Probably pretty similar flow to the rec port heads.. not sure what intake you have.
I run a similar cam, a 223/231. I would guess this comb is good for about 475 at the flywheel. There are a ton of good dyno vids out there. Richard Holdener has a lot of LY6 videos with different combos on youtube. Spend time on his channel.
I have a video of it idling on facebook, but I Can't seem to link to it...
