Single or double timing chain?

I have a LS3 stroked to a 427 and don’t know which one to run. I plan on revving it to 7k and 20 pounds of boost. Which would be better? I know if you have a double you have to grind the oil pump where it hits. Thanks in advance

i used a single c5r chain lsx454 and stretched it real good in a yr. Replaced with a double and no problems. make sure you get the rite size if youve had machine work done

I have a single true roller right now, I got it off of summit but I’ve heard doubles are a lot better and safer. The motor isn’t together yet

You hear of ls motors snapping single chains, they break usually because people are running crap harmonic balancers and when up in the 5500rpm+ range engine harmonics and rubbish balancers dont gel

i haven’t figured out which one I’ll be running yet, I know I’ll be getting a good one
