With all these replies does anyone know if an LS1 head or even the 5.3 head can have the valves resized to 2.02/1.90 like old school heads for better flow? I understand that if they can it will definitely change the combustion chamber sizes.

Yes I screwed up. It’s 2.02/1.60 not 90. I have looked and looked and couldn’t find anything on it other than a few aftermarket companies offering the 2.0/1.55 I believe it was, but not 2.02/1.60.
Yeah there's a thread I read on here about someone who had some 241's done up with 2.05's and 1.60's. I've also cam across those sizes on LS valves searching for aftermarket such as Manley and Ferrea valves.

Given those options I'd take the 6.0 but to reach 600 at the wheels is a tall order. You'd be best to stroke it with forged internals and your going to need a lot of supporting mods and a power adder. My 01 has an LSX 427 has a cold AC and gets 12-14 mpg on the highway but it doesn't have 600 hp NA at the back tire. Not really sure what it can make as the last time my tuner seen the car was nearly four years ago and it was having a fueling issue trying to get to WOT. It did however make 490 ft lbs of torque and 475 hp at 4000 rpm on a Mustang dyno. Changes have been made and looking forward to seeing what its got but still don't think I'll see 600 hp NA without a power adder.

How long have you been running the setup 8k RPM is impressive, is the 8k just on the track or have you ran it at this RPM long term? Is this just a track car or a daily also? Reason I’m asking about daily or track only is I’m wondering vehicle weight, basically anything that’s gonna cause extra stress on the motor and components, for durability Purposes.
