This motor is rated @ 390 stock, Im thinking 450 with this cam and it’s 243 heads with a fresh 3 angle valve job.

Any of the Summit or Cam Motion shelf cams are better than a SS2. The Hawk's Cheatr cam is excellent too.

Oh there’s no doubt that there’s much better cams available by everyone but since I have this SS2 cam I’m going to use it, it’s also the subject matter of the OP.

I'm sure a lot of people saw the SS2 v the world video.

You ever notice how cams with similar specs...make similar power?

:mindblown:

I totally understand the "I already have it." I do that a lot too. Make sure you check the timing events real good on it. If you go on Ebay, all of the SS1-2-3's are getting shipped straight outta china. Guess they got tired of the middle guys.

I didn’t want to mention it but since you did…..yes, eBay cam, a cheap copy of an SS2, $99 cheap. I’m refurbishing the LS2, new cam, lifters, gasket set, valve job with 918 style drop in springs that use stock retainers and locks, trying not to put much in it, I want to resell it, it’s my side hustle ,.tail light guarantee.
